In order to resist capitalism we have to understand the backgound and how it operates first. The Matrix of domination has an impact on everybody. Heteropatriarchy, capitalism and postcolonialism give us particular privileges and burduns unequaly. It determines who’s gonna succeed and who’s gonna fail.
The more one deviates from the norm the more burduns and less privileges one has. The more one deviates from the norm the harder it is to be successfull in heteropatriachic capitalism.
In these logics of success values like exceptionalism , individualism, control, sovereignty, accumulation and reproduction of wealth get rewarded and help to sustain capitalism.
So to find design that resists capitalism, we have to look for design that counters these logics of success, that deviates from the norm. We have to search in the in-between spaces of the highways of capital. We are searching for the ones that got neglected or erased, design outside of the discipline and industry.
